"That salad bowl was a particularly beautiful greeny blue--it was already there and and Mary thought to give it to us.  When we were just about to move into College Point we were getting some work done--the college did quite a bit for us, which was wonderful of them, although somebody had to come to me and say 'I think they're complaining about not being on campus, I don't think you should do too much more here.'  I asked them to put that color behind the bookcase on the wall of the book room but they forgot, or didn't hear me, and they did the whole room.  I had left the salad bowl there for them.  It certainly didn't need to be the whole room but we left it that way. " The salad bowl sits on top of the refrigerator in the kitchen on Summerfield Road.
